Obituary for Timothy J. Kovalchik

Timothy J. Kovalchik
Clinton-Timothy J. Kovalchik, 35, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, November 15, 2018 following complications suffered from an accidental head injury at work.  He is survived by his mother, Paulette Kovacs & companion David Shankman; and his brother, David J. Kovalchik, all of Clinton; aunt and uncle, Drs. Gregg & Simin Kovacs, and cousins, Grant, Ross, and Meryl, all of North Dakota; his colleagues, and many dear friends.
Tim was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio.  He excelled as a student athlete, graduated from Chaney High School, Class of 2001, and continued studies at Youngstown State University.  Upon his family relocating to Massachusetts, Tim lived in Lowell and later settled in Clinton, where he proudly shared an apartment with his brother David.  With a great passion for helping others and filled with an empathic vibration for their needs, Tim became a certified EMT and later worked with Quest Diagnostics and Joerns Healthcare. While not at work, Tim could often be found in the gym, as a dedicated advocate for health and fitness.  He loved running, hiking, and time outdoors.  He enjoyed the working in the yard, brewing beer, and cheering for his favorite teams: Notre Dame football, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Indiana Pacers.  Above all, he was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.  Tim's precious life will be remembered always by those who love him. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 7PM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with calling hours prior from 5:30 until 7PM. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Timothy J. Kovalchik to: Brain Injury Association of MA, 30 Lyman St., Suite 10, Westborough, MA 01581.  Online condolences may be placed at www.philbincomeaufh.com
