It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen (Twomey) Dunlea Lake, of Bolton, announces her passing after a brief illness, on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the age of 73 years.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 34 years, John Lake, her children, Christopher Dunlea and his wife, Patricia, Jonathan Dunlea and his wife, Emma, her sisters, Maura Rogers and Linda Corbin, her brothers –in law, Richard Rogers, Normand Corbin, David Lake and her sister-in law, Jackie Lake. Kathy cherished her daughter, Carolyn Douglas and her husband, Scott, her 10 grandchildren, Alex, Ellen, Lily, Jack, Zachary, Patrick, Owen, Nicholas, Brian, Victoria, and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Kathy was the daughter of the late George T. Twomey of Lynn, Bridget T. Twomey (Clifford), originally of Kilworth, County Cork, Ireland. Born in Lynn, Kathy attended St. Mary’s School and Worcester State College. Before her retirement in 2006, she was employed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for CASE Collaborative. Kathy was a former member of the Nashaway Philharmonic Chorus, volunteered at WHEAT Food Pantry in Clinton, and was a participant in the ReSisters group. She enjoyed the arts, learning Spanish, entertaining, traveling and spending time with her family.
Calling hours will take place from 4-7PM on Wednesday, October 10, at the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, A Funeral Mass in memory of Kathy will be held at 10AM on Thursday, October 11 at St. Theresa, the Little Flower Church, 13 Still River Road, Route 110, Harvard, with burial to follow in Bolton.
