Obituary for Dorothy Bertha West (Martin)

Dorothy Bertha  West (Martin)
Clinton-Dorothy B. (Martin) West, 87, passed away peacefully at UMass Medical Center on Saturday, February 10, 2018.  She is survived by two sons and their wives, Kevin West & Betsy; and David West and Patti, all of Clinton; her grandchildren, Stacy Veo & husband Justin; Shane West & fiancée Emily Maki, Derek West & wife Paige, Brittany, and Brian West; and great-grandchildren, Julian and Paisley West.  She leaves her brother Albert Martin of TN; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.  She is pre-deceased by her sister Eva Sue Reardon and her former husband Gerhard A. West.
Dorothy was born in Manchester, NH to the late Joseph & Flora (LePage) Martin.  She was raised in Clinton and attended local schools.  Dorothy was employed for many years with the Colonial Press until its closing and later worked for Data General.  In addition to raising her family, she enjoyed the pleasures of crafting, reading, and completing crossword puzzles.  Dorothy was happiest while in the company of her family and will be forever remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  Funeral services and burial will be held privately under the direction of the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy West to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
