Boylston-Dr. Donald I. Gallagher, Jr., 58, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 surrounded by family at Brigham & Women’s Medical Center.  He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Denise M. Silvester; his parents; Dr. Donald I. Gallagher & Dolores (Link) Gallagher of Woodstock, CT; siblings and their spouses, Kim Collins & David of Beverly; and G. Bradford Gallagher & Shari of Gresham, OR.  He leaves his nieces and nephews, and canine companions Winston and Murphy. 
Don was born in Landsdowne, PA and graduated from Delaware County Christian School, Class of 1977.  He obtained his undergraduate degree from Houghton College and achieved his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio School of Podiatric Medicine in 1986.  Dr. Gallagher served his residency at Marlborough Hospital before entering private practice with his colleague Dr. Donald Adams.  He proudly opened his own office in Framingham and has practiced podiatric medicine to countless patients in the Metro West area since 1998.  An avid outdoorsman, adventurer and thrill seeker, Don was a talented skier, avid hiker, and mountain climber.  He was happiest while in the company of his family and will be forever missed and remembered lovingly as a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.  A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 2PM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., with a calling hour prior from 12-2PM.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dr. Donald I.
